Blog post / Thrills and spills! (9th October 2012)

I’ve just done my 13th bungee Jump! Sunday 7th October, off the Transporter bridge, Middlesbrough, northeast England. I jumpt with UK Bungee Club and it was great fun! 160 feet, 50 metres! I stood on the edge and the energy flowed through me then I jumpt – electric! My first bungee in 4 years and I can’t wait to do something else similar. The more adrenalyn the better! Blog post / Central Europe Trip (4th September 2012)

A 12-day journey through central Europe involving Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria and Slovakia, August 2012.

I began in Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city, where I spent 4 days-3 nights walking its cobbled streets listening to its many fountains and soaking up its relaxed friendly atmosphere. Naturally I spent time walking around part of Lake Zurich and was even lucky enough to take a boat ride on the lake one evening on a chance meeting with a Swiss lady who enquired upon where I wished to go.

Updates from Tony (1st June 2012)

Tony visited friends in Hartlepool north-east England between 3rd and 6th June. He visited a historic sailing ship and drove a Thundercat inflatable boat and had fun! Photos to be added shortly.

Tony also sold 20 signed copies of Seeing the World My Way at Waterstones in Abergaveny on Saturday 9th June.

Tony goes back to Greece on Monday 11th June to be with his love Tatiana. Tony, Tatiana plus two ladies from Kentucky, America, who are also visually impaired, will explore Athens, travel around Paris and visit sites in Teignmouth and London. Tony is back in the UK after 7th July.

Blog post / West Africa travels (24th March 2012)

Five days ago I left the tranquillity of Abene, a beach and tropical paradise village in Senegal’s southwest coast in the Casamance region and headed to Ziguinchor, the capital of that region. After a night there in hot dry weather, I began the long journey by sept-place (seven seat) taxi to Tambacounda, in Senegal’s eastern region and near the border with north-west Mali. It was a long journey. I went to the sept-place garage around 6 am and waited an hour for the car to fill up.

Blog post / A week in northern Italy (10th November 2011)

Northern Italy, a region of industry, intriguing history, stunning mountains and enchanting lakes. My Greek girlfriend, Tatiana and I spent a week exploring this region with no sight between us!

Two nights in Milan, two nights in Verona, a day in Padua and another night in Como, before returning to Milan for one more evening of hospitality.

We flew from Athens, Greece to Milan, Malpensa on 27th October and returned a week later.

Blog post / Travels (14th October 2011)

I’ve been busy the last couple of months. In late July, Tatiana and I met up in Rome, Italy’s capital for four lovely days of romance and adventure. We explored the Colosseum, Parthenon and many other famous places and visited the Vatican, a separate sovereign country and the world’s smallest.

In August I attended a couple of successful book signing events and appeared on Radio Bristol. I also undertook several internet blogs and conducted a skype interview for a website in Minnesota called Eyes to
Eyes.
