Latest travels
Hi all, its Tony the traveller, bringing you another update.
Since my kidney transplant on 19th December 2008, I have been recovering slowly. Since the end of March I have been taking the opportunity to explore England during my weekends.
I began with Cornwall, Penzance to be exact – the most South-Westerly town in England. I used Penzance as a base to explore the surrounding area, even taking a day trip to the Scilly Isles.
Going back on the road!
Hi all, its Tony the Traveller saying good news, I’m hitting the road after a long lay off.
My new kidney is working grand so I’m heading around England. I begin this weekend with a small trip to Penzance at the end of South-West England – the end of the country! Its just a four day excursion away to explore and get ready for longer trips later in the year.
My new mission is to visit every county in England before September and then head abroad.

Another journey to the US occurred over the Christmas and New Year of 2002–2003. I was a third of the way through my Master’s degree at Birmingham University, England, had just finished an essay and was exhausted. I should have gone home, but not a huge fan of Christmas, I opted for three weeks in America instead. As a student, I managed to obtain a relatively inexpensive flight and was able to get a month Greyhound pass,
