São Tomé, November 2022

Tony is standing at the Mouth of Hell (Boca do Inferno) in the south part of São Tomé island. Sea waves enter an underwater cave on the south side of São Tomé island and, with nowhere to go, shoot straight up through a large natural hole in the volcanic rock. The sound and sight is tremendous, as this video clearly shows. One of many reasons to visit beautiful São Tomé.
A second great video of Tony standing at the ‘Mouth of Hell’ on the south-east side of the beautiful island of São Tomé. The sound of crashing, exploding waves under pressure is remarkable and spine-tingling!
Final video of Tony with Boca do Inferno (the mouth of hell)!
Video of Tony at Cascata de Praia Pesqueira (Pesqueira Beach Waterfall). A unique place where the river meets the sea. Near Ribeira Peixe, with the bluish turquoise Atlantic Ocean visible. Enjoy the sight and sound. It can be visited by a 4×4 vehicle.
Tony in a motorised wooden boat heading to the small tropical island of Ilhéu das Rolas, which is situated on the Equator. The small craft is setting out from the beach at Ponta Baleia, the southernmost point of São Tomé island. This archipelago once belonged to Portugal, but gained its independence in 1975. They are tropical islands, largely covered by beaches and tropical rainforest. Ilhéu das Rolas is very small, and tropical, much of the island is covered by rainforest, which is full of mosquitoes! A marker on the top of the island’s highest point denotes the spot of the Equator.
Tony is listening for the explosion of sea water at a blow hole on the small island of Ilhéu das Rolas on the Equator. The guy talking is a local guide named Jeremias from São Tomé Island. The blow hole, which is reached by hiking through the rainforest, is spectacular!
