The first instalment, Seeing the World My Way, describes my early journeys: out for adventure but consumed by alcohol as a method for dealing with my disabilities.

My second ebook, Seeing the Americas My Way, is a more sober, yet more emotional tale. It highlights my challenges of confronting personal issues whilst travelling.

A 12-day journey through central Europe involving Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria and Slovakia, August 2012. Naturally I spent time walking around part of Lake Zurich and was even lucky enough to take a boat ride on the lake one evening on a chance meeting with a Swiss lady who enquired upon where I wished to go. Blog post / West Africa travels (24th March 2012)

Five days ago I left the tranquillity of Abene, a beach and tropical paradise village in Senegal’s southwest coast in the Casamance region and headed to Ziguinchor, the capital of that region. It was a long journey. I went to the sept-place garage around 6 am and waited an hour for the car to fill up.

Blog post / Travels (14th October 2011)

I’ve been busy the last couple of months. In late July, Tatiana and I met up in Rome, Italy’s capital for four lovely days of romance and adventure. We explored the Colosseum, Parthenon and many other famous places and visited the Vatican, a separate sovereign country and the world’s smallest.

In August I attended a couple of successful book signing events and appeared on Radio Bristol. I also undertook several internet blogs and conducted a skype interview for a website in Minnesota called Eyes to
Eyes.

Blog post / Rome blog (28th August 2011)

Rome: From a Blind Person’s Perspective By Tony Giles Tonythetraveller Rome, is the capital city of Italy. Vatican City, residence of the Pope, is a walled enclave within Rome. Italy’s capital is an ancient area where the Roman Empire began 2,800 years ago. Notable archaeological buildings, such as the Colosseum, Pantheon and the Forum Romanum ruins, bared witness to the vast civilization that existed centuries ago. Vibrant modern day Rome is a reflection of its 14th-16th century renaissance period,
