My eBooks are travel biographies of the observations and experiences of a totally blind and partially deaf man as he travels independently around the world having exciting adventures. The most recent volume, Seeing a Slice of Southern Africa My Way, published 31 December 2020, is a journey of continued self-discovery as I plot my way from multi-cultural South Africa with its complex society, to Malawi, with its picturesque and peaceful nature. This third book takes the reader through parts of Southern Africa, and offers a brief glimpse into a little of Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Tony will be one of five travel writers taking part in this discussion session. The participants will discuss their very different styles of work. Tony arrived in Athens, Greece on 24th December 2012. Just returned from 10 days in Italy; visiting Rome, Naples and Florence with Tatiana.

My last few days in Colombia were spent travelling on buses from one large city to another, stopping a night in a hostel and continuing the journey. Blog post / Poem (17th December 2012)

Y travelling is great.

Travelling is great because it changes people’s minds and perceptions. Many people think negatively about sharing a room with one or more strangers. They worry about how many of their items may get stolen, instead of thinking positively and wondering how many friends they might make or what new cultures they might discover.

Meeting new people and learning about different cultures and languages is exciting, not frightening.

Tony’s in central Colombia heading for Ecuador (14th December 2012)

I am now in the small delightful town of Guatape near Medellin in central Colombia. I travelled here from Cartagena. It’s much cooler as I am again in the Andes. I am heading to Manazales today. I am making my way to Ecuador and hope to be in Quito for 17 December.
